Calculation methodology for waterproofing according to Ukrainian building code DBN B.2.2.5-97 "Shelters of Civil Defense".
Report of the engineering project with calculation of waterproofing according to the Ukrainian building code DBN B.2.2.5-97 "Shelters of Civil Defense". This document will be useful for engineers designing new or calculating existing (reconstructed) civil structures.
The report shows how to determine deformation of the waterproofing coating and the maximal soil pressure. Based on the results of these calculations, a conclusion is made about the viability of the designed waterproofing system.
Source and corrections
This report is a digitized copy of Appendix 4, an obligatory part of DBN B.2.2.5-97 "Shelters of Civil Defense". This document contains several refinements to the basic standard:
- some physical quantities, which have different designations in different parts of the DBN, have been reconciled;
- the values of some parameters that were transferred to the DBN from SNiP II-11-77* have been changed;
- after using TechEditor, we identified and corrected an error in determining the design deformation (Appendix 4, paragraph 2);
- some formulations that do not affect the calculations have been improved.
