DYSTLAB OPEN COLLABORATIVE LICENSE 1.0

1. Annotation

Dystlab Open Collaborative License (DOCL) is a license that allows users to freely use, edit, and modify digital solutions for science, education, and engineering practice. It prohibits the sale or rental of individual solutions as standalone products, but permits their integration into commercial projects, research activities, and engineering works. DOCL is designed to support open science, collaborative work, and innovation in digital engineering.

2. Description

These digital solutions are provided “as is”, without any warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or compliance with any standards or regulations. The developers, authors, and participating organizations shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or other damages arising from the use or inability to use these solutions.

Permission is hereby granted to use, copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, adapt, and create derivative works of these digital solutions without restriction.

It is prohibited to sell, license, rent, lease, or otherwise commercially distribute these digital solutions as a standalone product, whether in their original or modified form, in exchange for monetary compensation.
At the same time, the use of these solutions as part of commercial projects, engineering works, research activities, or services is expressly permitted, provided that the solutions themselves are not the primary object of sale, licensing, or rental.

This license is intended to support open science, engineering practice, and the free exchange of knowledge, while preventing unauthorized commercial exploitation of the digital solutions as independent products.
