This solution is developed for structural engineers involved in reinforcement projects for steel structures. The solution is an engineering report that automatically calculates beam section geometry for typical strengthening configurations. You simply enter the dimensions and positions of the section elements, and the program automatically calculates the area, center of gravity, moments of inertia, and other geometric properties.
This digital product is an engineering report template developed for structural engineers, designers, and architectural firms working on new construction or renovation projects. The document is also useful for educators and students of Steel Engineering courses.
Unlike standard office documents, this solution functions as an interactive worksheet containing automated formulas for calculating section geometric properties. All formulas are editable on the spot: you change the parameters and immediately see the response across all calculation elements.
The report allows you to automatically obtain stiffness parameters for beams reinforced by increasing the cross-section. The calculation logic enables you to define the section in units convenient for you (mm, cm, m, inches, etc.) and even combine different units within the document.
If your task differs from the example, you should change the input data. For example, if your beam is reinforced with one horizontal plate instead of two (as in the example), you need to remove one extra element from the arrays that serve as input data. All derived values in the calculation will automatically adjust to the new data.
The product automates routine geometry calculations and minimizes errors when designing steel structures:
The document is structured as an interactive worksheet with open logic:
Important: You can adapt the document to your specific needs — edit formulas, add schemes, or change units of measurement. TechEditor automatically handles unit conversion and dimension control, correctly calculating expressions with mixed units.
