Ribbon tabs in TechEditor

Hello, it's Dystlab! In this article, we're exploring TechEditor's ribbon — the central hub for all your interactions with the program.

Common actions

The "Project" tab acts like your project manager, helping you add various documents such as reports and diagrams while allowing you to customize their behavior.

Need to make general edits? Navigate to the "Edit" tab, covering tasks like clipboard functions, find and replace, zooming, printing, and exporting.

Report

For enhancing your reports, check out the "Report" tab. Here, you can tweak text, fonts, and page settings.

To add special elements to your reports, head to the "Report: Insert" tab for formulas, special characters, and page numbering.

Working with tables? The "Report: Table" tab is your go-to for adding, removing, merging, or splitting cells.
Need to format table cells, alignment, and text orientation? Go to the "Report: Table Format" tab.

Diagram

Creating diagrams? The "Diagram" tab is where you arrange blocks, adjust text, and play with colors. To add new blocks, go to the "Diagram: Blocks" tab. The "All Blocks" command contains all available blocks for use. For extra diagram tools, visit the "Diagram: Tools" tab, offering additional commands for managing the view of the diagram, working with layers, printing, and more.

Mathsheet

The "Mathsheet" tab organizes your work with TechEditor's mathematical sheets, providing symbols for arithmetic operations, logical operators, functions, units of measurement, and more.

Automation

The "Automation" tab handles document automation, allowing TechEditor to perform actions automatically based on a specified algorithm, primarily related to mathematical computations. Add mathematical objects to reports or diagrams for automatic calculations, as well as specialized objects like selectors or sliders. Utilize objects for extra automation, such as performing calculations in one document inside another or displaying a diagram image in a report.

The "AI" tab includes commands that leverage the artificial intelligence potential in TechEditor projects.

For app development, check out the "IDE" tab. Manage plugins, add or remove units, run and test them, and modify attributes like the position of controls.
